The Wizardly Oz
Who is the leading celebrity quack in the U.S.? It's none other than the charismatic Dr. Mehmet Oz. Watch and listen to him at your peril. (But watching and listening to John Oliver take on bad guys and groups on HBO television can be both enlightening and entertaining.)
Thanks for pointing this out. I've never seen the Dr. Oz show, but I've heard about him and thought he was okay. Still, there's nothing here that undermines my own theory that ice cream is the secret key to losing weight!
Oh dear... I used to watch Dr. Oz a long time ago. I didn't realize he'd gone off the deep end. I'm noticing the plastic surgeon, Andrew Ordon of The Doctors is now touting a miracle wrinkle cream on TV. Sigh...
CNN's Sanjay Gupta is the only TV doctor I can think of that hasn't completely discredited himself (yet). All the others seem to be shills for assorted products and procedures. I always urge people to never get their medical advice from online forums or, I should be adding, online or TV doctors. Always, always talk to your own physician.

Great post! Dr. Oz carrying on the Oprah tradition.

Its probably just me, but I couldn't hear the voice.
Honestly, when I saw the NBC logo I gave up. We never watch HBO...too expensive, and I'm a cheapskate (David says thrifty). I spend my $$ on books.
Thus, I don't know anything about Doctor Oz anyway. But thanks.
