Thanks for the Notice
Just got an e-mail ad from Applebees. It announced “Kids Eat Free Tuesdays.” I rescheduled my dinner reservation for Wednesday. Groups of kids are wonderful in many places. Restaurants are not one of them.
I can't stand most kids in restaurants either. Our kids were expected to behave properly in restaurants and they did. We got a lot of compliments from staff. Then again, we expected proper behavior at the dinner table at home as well. Dinner in front of the TV only occurred on Super Bowl Sunday or whatever Bowl Game the Buckeyes were playing in.
Certainly there are still parents who have taught kids how to behave in restaurants, but the odds are definitely stacked against you when they have a "kids night" -- too many chances that most of them will be the badly behaving ones.

Thank you for the tip. I don't eat there often, but it reminds me to think twice on Tuesdays. Dianne
My local pub was ruined when it became "family friendly" !

I got a big kick out of your reaction to the ad. I wonder if Applebees had any idea how that would turn off those of our generation!
